yeah, but those from the 'Old World' have the handicap that such weird things with wings as the V-173 are not exactly located in our neighbourhood - never were.......

I shall throw in a nice "Urpeein Challenge" soon - watch out !

The shocking thing to me is that this plane only had 160 HP (two fuel injected 80 HP Cintinental 4-bangers). It could fly at a 45 degree angle of attack, hovering in a slight breeze. With more power (like the XF5U had) it could have hovered vertically.

The F5U would have been cool to see what it could do. Too bad the Navy ordered it scrapped.
