Here's a couple from Denys:

Hi Eric,

You might like to throw these onto the towing aircraft by road topic on WIX for the guys to see.

Its the USN LC47H Bu17221 being towed through downtown Christchurch NZ in the early 1970 when there were still low cross road wires to be dealt with...couldn't wouldn't do those things now. Sorry about the colour but they're scanned off some deteriorated pix.

a friend of mine who owns a number of warbirds. ( he's nicknamed west side walt as in soplata but he's located west of the walt we all know & envy) on 1 occaison he was towing 1 of his birds home & a cop stopped & ticketed him for numerous hauling violations. when he received the ticket my friend left to continue home, but not before that s.o.b. crook cop called to 2 towns ahead & notified the police their where as on arrival while driving through my friend was promptly stopped & ticked again in each place. talk about entrapment!!
