Just caught the last pickup before they doused the fire and went home - many thanks to the firefighters! :drink3:

Thanks guys for all the info. I especially like the game. Thanks Dan...kudos.

Oshkosh 2007 Firebomber demo sounds great. Lake Winnebago's water level would drop with this behemoth:

BTW Does the CL-415 have a nickname like its prop breathren? If not what would you name it? I like the CL-415 RAINMAKER! CL-215 RAINDANCER!

The 415 is known as the Super Scooper, but the French call all amphib air tankers Pelicans.

CL-215's in Canada are often referred to as "Ducks" (just slang) but I consider that an insult to the great Grumman J2F. You want a real firebomber, you need a PBY-5A! Now THERE is an airplane! :D

The PBY in the opening scenes of "Always" has to be one of the best movie openings ever.

My response regarding the CL-415 shots (from last Oct.) were actually based on different photos. These are just camera angle affairs and anything depicted here can be easily done.

Disagree about the PBY comment. The CL-215 eclipses the P-boat, including the Super Cat, in all areas except vintage charm. We're talking about working airframes. The 415 certainly out performs the 215.
These airplanes comprise 3 of 10 type ratings for which I have been privileged to operate.

Cheers,
Bob
