Are we sure that someone hasn't confused this with the C-17 that is going to Australia?

And Chuck ~ do you know if the Belle is spending the winter at Fantasy of Flight like last year ?

If she is about to head off to Australia in 2007 ~ this might be the last chance to take a ride for some time !

Surprisingly enough, (or perhaps not ;) ) without my making a special effort to find out, I don't know much beyond what is publicly announced on the Liberty Belle web site. I'm still planning to go to Jacksonville next weekend. After that *I* would like to see it come to Douglas for a couple of weeks to fix some of the low level, but anoying, squawks. However, I don't have a vote in it's scheduling :) I guess we all stay tuned to see what happens next...

I *really* need to update my personal web site to include the current Dyke Lake restoration. I'll try to get to it in the next week or so.

Ok folks, as one of the Liberty Belle captains, (yesterday I was a PBY captain - now who can determine what airplane went where -) I can assure you the Liberty Belle hasnt been sold and there is no intent to do so. This would be contrary to the Foundation's mission statement. I plan to be at Cecil Field next weekend. As far as any speculations as to other events, its best to wait for formal Foundation announcements.

well my source still telling me that warbird rumours are not denying that somewhere if not LB , in US that a B17 is coming to Australia.. for either a tour or buy.. i will have to recheck with my source again...

B17 has been clearly mentioned and whether there is confusion or withold of info to me to delay the release of news could be the other issue....

Obviously, those of us flying or involved with the Belle know what, or what not is precisely transpiring with the airplane. I stated its not for sale and therefore hasnt been sold. I also wrote that any further speculation about any other events will be made by the Liberty Foundation. There are people in the industry that know the facts as they exist at this point in time. The Foundation has several projects in development and when they near fruition with great certainty the facts can be made known. Dreams are one thing, having them become reality takes much effort and hard work.
