(Oh sure; the Kiwi starts this whole mess, and the Yanks get stuck holding the bag!)

This has nothing to do with honor/honour. It's about filling the friendly skies with machines completely lacking any trace of aesthetic appeal!

If the fellows at Flypaste have an ounce of honesty and integrity, they'll step forward and admit that Europe must assume responsibility for the lion's share of these aerial travesties! :P

(Tin hat on head and trench gun locked & loaded...wait 'til you see the whites of their eyes, boys!) :enforcer:

And I guess it does qualify as a warbird since it first flew in 1947 (as far as I can tell)

I'd have to say it's a good choice, but you've got the wrong photo posted of the "ugliest" Gannet.
To be really ugly, it has to have the AEW belly dome!
Now thats ugly!

Back in the early 90s' we had an informal poll at Wings over Houston as to the ugliest plane there. It was a three way race between our Storch, the Nimrod, and the F-117. It was neck and neck but the Stealth pulled ahead because there dog was ugly and the crews were stupid.

I believe that Wile E. Coyote designed this one himself; it is the fabulous Breguet Br 27.

Looks like the begining of the Sikorsky helicopter line, with the H-34/S-58 coming to mind

Curtiss C-76 Caravan. Looked like an airfield decoy, and probably should have been.

Okay, one of my votes goes to the Avro Shackleton. I gotta look at that ugly pig every day......and that's coming from a guy who's workin' on a big, brown, B-24 for cryin' out loud.

At Midland.....
