Shaping up to be a heck of a show! My boss has confirmed that I'll have the weekend off. I figure I'll watch the forecast and go on whichever day has better weather.

Will she be out of the shop by then? I thought she was getting some intensive work at Aero Trader.

I guess we will see. It was announced as coming to the show back on April 30. It would be nice to see it there, but things can change.

Over at the Thunder Over Michigan Website, under Performers, it lists the CWH Lancaster as flying.

So Mikey, is their B-25J Mitchell tagging along as well?

Cheers,

Tom Walsh.

On the Liberty Aviation Museum it says the B-25 will be away from the museum until fall.

No real surprise here - I am guessing that the KC-135 was posted on the web site as a "Performer" in error. If one is coming more likely as a static as most currently serving aircraft of this type are when they attend.

The "Performers" area no longer shows the KC-135:

Cavanaugh's cannon armed FG-1D is touted as an FG-1C

Don't see anything in that link referring to an "FG-1C" but I assume you have other information. Cavanaugh's Corsair has not been announced as coming to Thunder and as far as I know there has only been one announced Corsair.

In any case, should be a great show!

Neither of the Corsairs that are on the schedule are listed on the Attending Aircraft page. See the most recent Warbird Digest for more info on the FG-1C.

i thought the same thing and i looked it up..found nothing.

As for it being the Cavanaugh machine, it was at oshkosh so who knows. Maybe it will be present.

Could also have been a typo.

That settles it - must have missed it earlier when I looked at the Cavanaugh schedule - should be 2 Corsairs!

The aircraft list on the web site has NOT been updated in some time. Michael Luther has announced several aircraft including the Commemorative Air Force FG-1D Corsair, that are not on the list. Looking forward to seeing both Corsairs in action.

So, we also have a Heritage Flight and a USCG HH-65 Display. Cool!

Cheers, Tom Walsh.
