Got the Wal-Mart craft paint out and painted the paper mock-up to see what the final star/bar will look like.

So tonight we prepped the fuselage for the insignia. We cleaned the area on the fuselage, outlined the area to be painted with vinyl tape, used Scoth Brite to scuff it up and then applied alodine. Sometime soon the painter mask off everything and lay down the primer and then the blue and white paints.

Looks like the check window frames are fiberglass.I have the dies to press metal ones.
