ahh good it was a nice plane when i saw it last year.. got to sit in the cockpit for a bit.

i'd lve to see a restored 1 with the little winglets / pylons that attached to the wheel spats for small bombs in the 25 to 50 lb range. i think that was the bomb weight range i think that accessory was used mostly in night interdiction work, etc.

It would be nice, but it would need to be an example in Army Co-op colours, not Special Duties or Target Tug configuration.

The three racks (see my earlier post) or equivalent fittings, could carry bombs up to 250 lb, dinghy packs, smoke generators, smoke floats, markers, etc, etc. Not intended for 'night interdiction' that was not a recognised job for the RAF Army Co-Op Squadrons when the specification was set, and AFAIK, the Lysander was never used in that way. In Burma however, the Indian Air Force did use them as dive-bombers. To find out more, guess what? Yup... Psssst.... Get the book.
