This is the place where the majority of the warbird (aircraft that have survived military service) discussions will take place. Specialized forums may be added in the new future

No clue where the Seafury is.
The Mustang was the all black one featured here a while back doing the bounced landing/nose over with commentary by the most annoying woman on the face of the planet.
He also had a Stearman as I recall.
The Sea Fury went to South Africa, owned by a Stuart Davidson (Still owns it I think).

Is that the one in the background of a Breitling ad with Travolta? You can only see some details but it appears to be something like a Canadair. It's painted black/dark though (could be done in Photoshop...)
Nope, if it's the ad I'm thinking of it's a Moraine Saulnier (spelling?) Paris Jet owned by a company called Jetset which is supposedly selling 1/20th shares of the a/c, though I have yet to see or hear of anyone buying a share. That picture was taken while both parties happened to be at the same airport and Travolta saw the aircraft which was having a photoshoot done at the time, he was impressed, and he had his picture taken with it. Gotta love coincidences...

If we are talking proper celebrities here then Jimmy Stewart used to own a Catalina

Didn't Jimmy Stewart also own a P-51C that was raced post war? I think it was called Thunderbird and at one time raced by Joe DeBona (sp?)

I was awfully tempted to comment on that... but I held out. I'm glad someone else ran with it!

Ford also has an A36 Bonanza that he flies around the Northeast a lot and I believe he has a citation as well. I am sure they are also probably a few more

I think he also has a chopper (Jet Ranger?) He rescued a lost cub scout with it a couple of years ago.

Musician Jimmy Buffett owns and used to fly a Grumman HU-16 Albatros named Hemisphere Dancer, which is now on display at his restaurant in Orlando. He's an accomplished seaplane pilot.
Cheers!

An obscure one, but one that sticks out in my memory none-the-less.
Jud Strunk, a folksinger who frequently appeared on Laugh-In and Hee-Haw in the early 70s and had a hit with the sad song Daisy-A-Day. He owned and flew a PT-26. Unfortunately, in 1981 at the age of 45 he suffered a heart attack while taking off in the plane and crashed to his death.

Russ Francis sold all his warbirds.

The now black P-51 that was featured on the video is the same one that was once owned by Bob Love. Russ purchased it from the estate after Bob's passing in 1986 and flew it for a few years in the Jolly Roger\Bernie's Bo scheme.
