Hi

Well if it's not going to be repaired then why not auction it - I am sure there are a lot of people that would like to have a go at repairing this thing if the price was right.

Regards
John P

This is why these forums screw up our reputation.. No one here knows what happened yet it seems the plane was doing high-speed taxi tests is now totaled and the rest of the planes being sold for scrap... I was strapped in the Oscar when the gear failed... It was our first time to have the plane out of the T-hangar area at Meacham.. Only a very slow speed taxi was planned.. NO high-speed anything... The plane, myself and the crew were geared up has if a real flight were to take place.. Nomex, all systems GO, chase trucks ect. Please don't guess, report ,speculate, read your crystal ball or anything else until you know the facts. Thank You...[/b]

Personally, I don't believe that your reputation depends on what is said in any forum, but on your professional achievements.

IMHO, First Ammendment still applies, no matter how silly, negative or outlandish the statements.

I am glad that whatever the reasons for the mishap, you are OK and willing and able to fly another day.

Saludos,

Tulio

Hi 270:

Maybe you can tell us what really happened, and prevent speculation.

Thanks,

Chris

Hi 270

Pardon me if I'm being a little too sensative here but as my post is above yours I felt you may have taken offence at my post. My post is a month old and as such is not current.

In your defence I have heard that you did a great job in limiting what could have been worse and saving further damage occuring - I did not in any way coment of your flying skills which I am led to believe are of the highest order.

I have also heard since the accident that the extent of the damage is serious but straightforward enough to repair and apparently this is the case.

As you say I wasn/t there and nor were the posters on this site and that is why I didn't coment on the incident itself - you are the person best placed to comment and that is how it should be - I really appreciate that you took the time to coment as now we all know the facts and can discuss it in an informed manner.

My coments were purely based on the proposition that this great project itself could have been in jepordy - I did use the word IF - I did not and still don't officially know what is to happen from here - I was just giving my opinion on what I thought should happen if other coments about the project being scrapped were true. As I say I am led to believe that repairs are being carried out and it is all positive news.

Once again congrats on a great effort in a difficult situation

Kindest regards
John Parker

Ahh bdk

You need to speak to Mr Gilbert et al in the UK - I believe they can help with a few bits and pieces for your much spoken for/of P61.
Please don't send me any more legal letters I have run out of space in my study to frame them !!

Regards
john P
