This is the place where the majority of the warbird (aircraft that have survived military service) discussions will take place. Specialized forums may be added in the new future

Aircraft such as the Anson were never taken of the register after being grounded. There has been talk over the years that the Anson may fly again. Right now the focus is on getting the airworthy aircraft through their annual maintenance. There was recently a change in the maintenance department, and the museum is doing everything in its power to ensure things move along at a steady pace while things are sorted out. All I can say is wait and see, I'd say the next year or so will be pretty interesting times around CWH.

Greg has the lanc not flown with her new tailwheel?

To be honest I know nothing about that. The Lanc has not flown this year as of yet, but is quickly coming back together after it's inspection.

Greg got it pretty much right. Recent changes in the maintenance department and the focus is getting the birds back in the air. The Anson and Crane and others will be looked at sometime in the future to evaluate their status. The Lanc got a new tailwheel tire today and the Beech and DC3 should fly very soon. After that a full court press on the Lanc and B25. After that..........we're not telling!

Fly safe,
