how the heck did you get into the back of that P-51? ... did they cut holes on either side of the fusalage for your legs to stick out? How does a 6'6 guy get into the back of a Mustang. heck I'm too tall for a mustang.

TF-51s don't count has the canopy rolls all the way back
Try a D where the seat doesn't fold forward. That's tight!
Our 51 guy here has a sense of humor. He made me get in back with the canopy 1/3 the way closed. Try that! Then he made me buy him lunch!

TF-51's count in my book man. What a ride. Even at my lightest, I would never fit in the back of a stock D.

I am a big guy man. I am working on it, but it sucks. it goes on easier while I was chilling on the couch or going through the nasty divorce, but that's no excuse. Here is a pic of Jenny and I at the NMUSAF.

Getting back to the SB2C, what was the Navy history of this plane? I see in the Registry reference to it having been in NAS Glenview markings before the CAF got it, but I've only seen photos of it in the tri-color scheme, never in overall dark blue like it would have been if it were with the reserves at Glenview postwar - Anyone know?

Thanks Jeff, I am working on it. It sucks, but the schedule I keep, the wife, and everything else just added up over the lst two years. My goal is to drop the pounds, get healthy, and go for a really cool warbird ride that I can't now. I know that sounds dorky, but it is what motivates me. Plus Jenny is beating my butt. Ha Ha Anyway, sorry I don't mean to take up the Helldiver stuff with my issue.
