Ok, anyone up for an end-of-the-year best-of WIXers photo contest? Photos open to anything taken this year and must be original.

Maybe three entries per-person, caption MUST BE INCLUDED, and same general content rules from me as last time, unless someone else is running it.

Prizes need to be figured out, etc... Or maybe you just get a pony .

That sounds good to me. Do you want submissions in this thread or are you going to start a new one?
Lemme know,
Mark

I'm thinking I'll start a new thread - shortly after Thanksgiving - if I get a bit more responses.

I'd be in for it. I think it is great.

Any takers on helping judge this? If so, email me before Friday...

As I said previously, I will offer a prize. I have a piston with rings and wrist pin, off one of the original "KeeBird" engines that I will donate as one of the prizes.

Sounds good. Any other volunteers for judging? I know you'd all like to be in the running for that proposed prize, but someone's got to help me... I've got less time now to do this kind of thing than I used to.

Ryan - I'd love to help out judging, if you still need some assistance. I've been photographing warbirds and military a/c for about 25 years now, think I've got a pretty good eye ... - Keith

Ok, that makes 4 of us. I need a tie-breaker.

Ryan, I've got a buddy, Dan McClinton. He's an Apache pilot over in Iraq now. Anyway, he's been photographing aircraft for as long as I have. He's not a Wixer, but has won a category in the Air & Space Magazine's photo contest before. He's got a great eye, and he would certainly be neutral. I am sure I can talk him into serving, if that'd be of interest - Keith

That would be good, but I'll take the first tie-breaker judge that volunteers.

I am, and if I don't get one by tonight, I'm just going to give myself two votes and start the contest anyway after I get done flying! Lookout, it's coming!
