Thank you for the reply. Wow, the more that I learn about this wreck, the more I find a somber moment to reflect upon those who might have been lost in the wreck.

FWIW, the Royal Air Force took delivery of 10 Coronados during WWII and placed them on the transatlantic ferry service. On January 3, 1946 FOUR aircraft were scuttled off of Largs, Scotland (s/n JX486, 494, 488 and 501). It would be interesting to know where and how deep these A/C remain. Most certainly in better shape than those in the warm tropical water environment of the mid-Pacific.
