Most of those planes represented something special to their owners- a realization of a life-long dream to own and fly their own plane, for instance. I know I would be just absolutely sick if it were my "lowly" STOL bird flipped, bent, folded, spindled and mutilated.

But hey, it's not a warbird, so fark'em, right?

Yes, I kinda felt a little sickened due to the fact that the folks that put their time and/or money homebuilds, and restorations were destroyed or heavily damaged after working so hard on putting them together, all that time and money dayum. I hope they were adequately insured. Poor folks, I feel for 'em.

Hopefully they all had the EAA airshow insurance or something else.

Was thinking the same thing. Wonder how many had liability but waived the hull insurance. Many could have most of all tied up in the plane itself and took the chance. Hope not. So sad to see their hard work and love dashed by Mother Nature.

A few shots I took at Lakeland on March 31 and April 1. It was very scary.

This may be a double posting I do not know what happened to the first two post. Some more Warbirds stuff on April 1st. The Warbirds community made a weak showing this year at Sun-N-Fun.

I saw on the CAF websight that the president was complaining about the lack of CAF planes there this year. I wonder how many warbirds stayed away because of the weather and how many stayed away because of the high price of avgas?

Who's T-6 is that with all the "Hot Rod" Mods?
