Most of those planes represented something special to their owners- a realization of a life-long dream to own and fly their own plane, for instance. I know I would be just absolutely sick if it were my "lowly" STOL bird flipped, bent, folded, spindled and mutilated.
But hey, it's not a warbird, so fark'em, right?

Yes, I kinda felt a little sickened due to the fact that the folks that put their time and/or money homebuilds, and restorations were destroyed or heavily damaged after working so hard on putting them together, all that time and money dayum. I hope they were adequately insured. Poor folks, I feel for 'em.
