Final got sum time to post, made it to Reading about 1:00 Sat. afternoon. MAAM put on a great show, had a final day fight in FIFI. About a hour before are flight I notice a older gentleman walking towards me with a boarding pass also for FIFI. So I quickly started up a conversion with him, turns out he was a B29 pilot in WW2 with 22 missions over Japan. We talked for over 45 minutes till we boarded FIFI. What a great day, listing to Frank talk about his missions, taking a ride in FIFI, and seeing all the other planes. Many thanks to MAAM, CAF, (CAF everyone was very friendly) and Frank.
Will try and post some pics later.

Those of us working on "FIFI" were impressed by the number of people that were lining up to tour or fly aboard the girl! We flew the two airshow flights plus
13 ride flights with no significant issues. That is a great testimony to Dave and Rick and the work they have put into her over the last couple of years getting her back in the air. Also kudos to Gary and Charlie who put together the re-engine project. We NEVER could have performed like we did throughout this tour with the old engines!
On the subject of veterans, we were fortunate to have a large number of veterans fly with us in New York, Reading, and Cincinnati. Each man (and their families) had their own flood of memories come back. In some cases all the memories were positive, but for many their were the memories of their friends and crewmates that did not return home.
For those of us traveling with their aircraft whenever we began to question why we bust our %^&* for a week, these veterans remind us! It was an HONOR for us to fly these veterans and their families, this is what the CAF is all about!
Lest we forget,
Chris
