Well,if I really had to narrow it down to ONE, as far as warbirds go it would be the SBD. Not the fastest, strongest or prettiest, but one awesome airplane.
Somewhere close behind are the P-40, B-25, C-47, C-123, TBM and PBY. Having flown in the latter two, I had to include them :wink:

I like things with wings in general, especially WWII stuff but my fave is the Curtiss P-40...

The Hawk 81 is my fave of the P-40s too... just much sleeker looking than the 87s...

(Note that with the exception of the A-10, all my favorite aircraft have 'round' engines. Well, that should probably read 'radial' engines since even jet engines are mostly round, too...) :D
