And about a similar solution than used by Ezell and Red Bull for shiping the P-38 to Austria: put it not disassembled on a ship ? The question is : find an harbour close enough of an airport and straight and wide road between them.

The So Cal Zero visited in 2010 without any disassembly. So there is a good road route from Port of Tauranga (less than an hour flying from Ardmore) to Tauranga Airport.

From memory of the reports of the loading, there was a lot more trouble loading it in the US (San Diego? LA?)

Note that the Zero is less than one container long.
