Multiple sources are claiming that Lancaster NX611 "Just Jane" is being prepared to fly in 2013. Here's a recent BBC piece.

Then the question begs to be asked.... when will the CWH fly there Lancaster over to the UK for a visit? THREE SHIP FORMATION?!?! Yep.

This has been up in the air for years. Looks like they finally got over the financial hurdle and are getting her airworthy again, which is great to see. I am sure the Canadians would fly over for a special 3 ship formation.

Then they must have two airframes, last time I stopped by Mike and John were working on putting together a brand new airframe and wings from Colorado. They finished the 25 footer FAUX WULF (scary stuff :shock: ) and sent it to it's new home and just had the one airframe in work.


It's got a few original bits and pieces in it. And the engine will be an original. That counts, right? :-p

And yes, that faux-Wulf was quite scary considering the original builder wanted to fly it. Yikes!
