I'm actually going to add another 20 or so images to the book. I'm still trying to find a quality image of a Honduran F4U-5N with a radar pod circa 1969. I will be submitting the last batch of images to the publisher by Monday 6/17/13.

Good Day!

FAH 609 Buno 124715 did not have the radar pod installed during July '69. It did during c. 1960s at one time.

The drawing included shows it somewhere over the Salvadorean skies July 1969 after a brief encounter with a FAS P-51!! Drawing via Enrico Pablo del Cabo (Arg). Rudy 01 (USA). The other signature is the of the pilot himself, (bottom /R) FAH Capt Fernando Soto Enriquez! (RIP).

p.s More pics later on

Hey I'm happy to send you some photos but it takes time to satisfy your request above. (If I can at all since that pixel rate is sometimes difficult for the results you are looking for) If your in a hurry perhaps you should look elsewhere. Sorry about that I tried.

Hello,

No problem. Images can be a little smaller in size.

These are the best quality photos I have generated so far. I have several more but will need a bit more time to sharpen, re-size etc. If you don't already have these I hope they will be of use to you. The original source is the U.S. National Archives of which you do have access to publish them with proper credit of course. They also are archived at the NMNA of which you shouldn't have a problem there either, but I would probably contact them first. FWIW

Hope these help.

Good day

Tks a lot for posting all those nice F4U pictures.

(FYI): The last picture the F4U-5N is Buno 124447 an X FAH 602! Just after a fine restoration c. 1985.

It may not be the appropriate thread for it, but a while back I bought these negatives along with other original prints of F4Us. I don't know if they've been published or not.

Very nice Jaldo! Those of course are the Bob Bean F4U-4 Corsairs stored at Rex Williams Airport not far from NAF Litchfield Park where Bean purchased them as military surplus. Any chance you could scan some high resolution versions of those images? :) I'd love to study the details.
