The F6F hit the fire truck first and then the truck and trailer. There also was
a pole with a orange wind sock next to the truck!

Sounds like a hat trick...

I was out at the Pylons when this happened. By the time the bus got back to the ramp area, everything was gone. The original story that went around was that a fire truck, responding to a Mayday from a Sport Class plane was in the wrong place and contacted the aircraft. This pushed it into the Ford truck as a result, causing the damage to it. Nobody seemed to know exactly what had happened, and afterwards nobody was willing to say. Probably has something to do with insurances and liability over the incident. The aircraft disappeared into a hanger and wasn't seen again after the incident. On a happier note, nobody was even slightly injured at The Races this year that I heard about.....!

The Hellcat was down at the far eastern end hangar and the engine was pulled by Sunday of the race weekend.

There was a fire truck rolling near by, but it made no contact with the Hellcat. The prop hit the right front fender of the truck, which on the Raptor edition F-150 is mostly fiberglass, and there was no sudden stoppage. The prop tips were scuffed, but did not look bent. I know it won't be cheap to tear the engine down, but my guess is there won't be any major damage.

Good to know. It seemed like some sort of information blackout almost as soon as it happened...! Hope the aircraft is OK without any major damage.

If no contact was made with the fire truck then how did the tip of the horizontal stab get bent up?
