Some more from the Berlin Technical Museum...probably the finest engine display of any museum I've been to. The exploded view is incredible, oh to see a Merlin displayed this way.

Regarding the decision to continue production of Messerschmitt types in Czechoslovakia. My understanding was that the nation wanted to reestablish its' industry as quickly as possible with whatever was left after the war. The procurement of Soviet types was only brought on by the Communist coup that saw the elimination of the first post war government. Or am I wrong on this?

What unit is the Me110 depicting? While dachshunds are clearly popular dogs in Germany (and elsewhere), I had never seen one as a unit insignia until this picture.

The main winding was of the normal lotus-o deltoid type placed in panendermic semi-bolloid slots of the stator. Every seventh conductor being connected by a non-reversible tremmy pipe to the differential girdle spring on the up-end of the grammeters. Moreover, whenever fluorescent square motion is required, it may also be employed in conjunction with the drawn reciprocation dingle arm, to reduce sinusoidal depleneration.

Thanks Dave, you are correct. This was in the collection of Sir Tim Wallis at one point. I think I remember the tour guide saying it was assembled from 3 airframes.
