Neal, I just found another old Tom Camp P-40 image at AAFO HangarTalk that hopefully will make an appearance here in glorious high-res: http://www.aafo.com/hangartalk/showthre ... n-Archives :drink3:

Good Lord, Zac -- that was posted 15 years ago! Actually, I thought I'd posted it here -- I scanned it in the same session as others I did post. This was done at the Alameda Naval Air Station in the summer of 1979.

And here's a shot of another P-40E that Tom was showing around California in 1979. This shot was taken at the remarkable Gathering of Eagles show in Chino in 1979. The airplane is, I think, N62435. I believe it was a John Paul project, and I think it eventually ended up in the Kermit Weeks collection.

Yeah, there was quite a bit of pretty intense flying going on that day, considering it was on a military base and in the middle of a major urban area. I have direct headon shots of Love, Hamilton and the P-38 too. It was fun little air show!

Work has been very, very slow lately so I decided to go through HangarTalk since the beginning. I'm about halfway through, started on Friday!
