No one seems to have a definitive answer as to who it might have been.


My guess is it would have ended up in a museum. I doubt it would have ended up as an airshow flyer unless someone with deep pockets stepped-up. I'm assuming the plane would have required a complete restoration to become a reliable airshow flyer like FiFi and Doc. It would have been neat to have preserved it as is with beat up paint and decades of exposure wear and tear. It was a real time capsule.
