WOW! Fantastic work!! The Sea Fury T.20 looks GREAT!! The effort to go back to ORG. is true devotion. I hope ALL of her becomes RED, from spinner to tail. I'm puretty (Texas talk) sure I saw this one in San Marcos Tex. in the late '70's/early'80's where you could still see the day-glow green/yellow on the tail,spinner, and wing tips towards the end of thier service. keep up the great work, Anthony

Which SeaFury is this one??

Not sure if it's this one, but last year (or two years ago ?), one Sea Fury who was stored in France since a long time at La Ferté-Alais was sold and trucked to Meier Motors for restoration.

EDIT: Not the one shows on their website: so I suppose their is two Sea Fury at Meier Motor

It´s the former "Conch Fury".

In it´s former German colours, but after bought by Doug Arnold (G-BCOV). In Germany registration was D-CACE, shall get the same reg when finished.



(picture shows colours not quite right, it´s not pinkish, but a full red {RAL 3000}, spinner, wingtips and rudder should be RAL 2000 AFAIK)

Hello friends,
time to talk about new projects in the shop. At first another socalled major-project, another Messerschmitt project.



The aircraft is perhaps the oldest operational Messerschmitt Bf109 in the world. We talk about the Emil E-1 6*88 a Spanish Civil war veteran. The project belongs to Robs Lamplough, a british collector, pilot and warbirdenthusiast. The job is to bring 6*88 back into the air again

The aircraft is in a very bad shape, but the shop thinks that there are a lot of original historica parts which could be used in the restored airframe. The wings are in a pretty good shape, of course also a lot of work.
This Emil got the Spanish serial C.5-88 , tactical code 6-88 and it seems to be that the pilot was Oberleutnant Siebelt Reents. 6-88 was assigned to 1./J/88 and got the wellknown noseart "Holzauge" (wooden eye) on the left side. Reents was squadron leader since 2nd September 1938, so you will find the emblem since that date. Pictures of 6-88 are extremly rare. 6-88 was discovered again in the 80ties, abused as firetrainig object for the airport-firebrigade of a Spanish airfield. The remains were recovered in 1987 (maybe 1983) and sold to Robs.

I look forward to seeing the Bf109E progress in detail. A very important restoration!
I hope the guys don't throw out all the unserviceable parts when they are finished with them. To me, they still represent an important record of the aeroplane.

Thank you so much Matthias! Your photos are excellent, and will provide an important record of this very rare restoration opportunity.
Enthusiasts have been wondering about the fate of this airframe, since we heard about it in the Eighties. It is in excellent hands at Meier

By the look of it's condition, all that will be re-usable will be its' shadow

I have to echo the sentiments of "Avro Avian". Because so little original material will be used in the restoration, it may be possible to assemble an historical display of the mortal remains. There will never be another airframe of this historical significance come to light.
