You're kidding, right?

Wings - 1927 - Won 2 Oscars.

Of course I'm kidding. My daughter wouldn't go near a black & white movie!
"Oh, there so boring!"
But she sure loved "Top Gun"!
I have two copies of "Hells Angels", one of "Wings" and even a VHS of "Lilac Time" and a bunch more obscure movies too numerous to mention. Many aren't very good films, but the aircraft are neat.
Long live film history!
Blue skies, (or should I say "Black & White skies?!!!) :D

I love Flight of the Intruder, too...not that it's an impressive piece of cinema or anything, but it's just fun to watch. Some funny quotes. The Skyraider scene is magnificent.

The hair on the back of my neck raises up when they show the multiple SA-2 launches at night. The AAA looks mildly realistic, too.

I just don't understand how they came up with this list. Everyone knows that the best aviation movie ever made is the director's cut of "Iron Eagle III".

I don't see how you can beat Waldo Pepper for 'real' flying. Pretty good story, well cast, and the actors were in the air. Best line was Axel after his short wingwalking experience: "I didn't like it much"

Astix, you just moved to the bottom of my list with that photo! I don't care if they are rubber they are gross! Man, I hate snakes. As a kid growing up in Texas, a water moccasin actully struck at me once when I was walking near a lake. I went to summer camp at Longhorn near Burnet. Therre was a sporting goods store in town that had live rattlesnakes in the window and a bunch of skins on the wall, some of them about 7 0r 8 feet long. I think I'd rather walk through Bagdad than go in the snake exhibit at the zoo. It's one thing I don't miss about Texas.

12 o'clock High is a great film, but I'm surprised Strategic Air Command with Jimmy Stewart didn't get picked. How can you beat B-36 Peacekeepers, B-47 Stratojet bombers and F-80 Shooting Stars? I could probably do without a whining June Allison, but its still a classic film and its filmed in Technocolor! Top Gun is way overrated IMHO. Like I am so sure you are going to feel like carrying on a casual conversation in an F-14 Tomcat while pulling 7 g's! Give me a break!

Jim

Not tom mention the 4 second aerial refueling scene from the KC-97. That made the whole movie!
:D
