BTW
No PPL but I soled a Shinn 2150A and got my first 25 hours in the front seat of SNJ-5 N5488V then soloed the Shinn. I've fortunate to get stick/flight time in a boatload of a/c. My flight time is approx 3000 hours inc 1000 in the Navy inc a few hours in the right seat on one of my P-3 flights.

A question about tailwheel endorsements. Back in the late 70's, my Dad had a Bowers Fly Baby, a single seat homebuilt. After I got my PPL, I shot 6 landings in a Cessna 140, ranging from wild, careening tire screechers to almost decent landings. The owner of the 140 declared me to be tailwheel capable so I climbed in the Fly Baby and have been flying TW ever since. My question, what was the date when official CFI tailwheel endorsements became required? I should know since my son is a taildragger instructor, but he's only been at it a couple years.

PPSEL with a bunch of tailwheel, complex and highpower time. Got some multi-recip, multi-jet and single and multi-rotor time. Almost half my unlogged hours are time spent upside down in flight

PPSEL, Tailwheel, Acro... working on the IFR rating... or at least was up until a year ago.

Now looking for an everyday flyer Cessna 120/140... anyone know of any up for sale? O-200 preferred, but not required.

Started taking flying lessons when I was 13. Have about 1200 hours
now. Some of it HP time. Most of my time is in tailwheel aircraft.

Interesting (to me) types in the ole' logbook:
T-6
B-17
DHC-2
B767-300ER (full motion sim)

Current (flying) parts-chaser = '54 C-180.

PP ASEL, Glider (since July '66). Flew a lot of tailwheel/hi-perf types BEFORE some folks caused those endorsements to be adopted, so they don't show on my (paper, not plastic) license.

its just a logbook endorsement-so it isn't on your license. just like high perf and complex (which when I got it was together) other (so-called) skills are available with a log book endorsement such as glider towing, which I unfortunately have and am required to exercise on a regular basis.
