I've always been told that "age is just a number". Now I know that seems easy for me to say because I'm 25 but, I firmly believe that it has lot to do with your mentality.

Flying is one of those great pleasures in life that not only can you enjoy into old age but also helps keep your mind sharp.

Music is similar in that regard.

And this is relevant because??? :?:

IMHO it's just a relevant as the question about our ages. (Which ain't very relevant at all considering the main thrust of the forum.)
'pears to me to be just an observation. Nuthin' more. nuthin' less.

I agree. It's just an observation and it's good to see that us "kids" are helping to keep warbirds alive to teach future generations.

Warbirdcrew, if you are looking for a fight today, it will have to be with someone else. My side is feeling pretty good and about to get even better.

Mr. Greenwood, do you have an injury left over from the "Texas Massacre"?

A good thing I would say if we are going to maintain interest in warbirds in future years, considering that the youngest veterans of Vietnam are generally over 55.

True Bill, but ordnance from a "little" war will kill you just as dead as the stuff in a "big" war.
When these young-uns are nearer to our ages later, what will "their" Warbirds be? If they're
allowed to have have them...

Old enough that I can remember Mustangs being operated by ANG units

WOW - that's more than 50 years ago - :D

Didn't the last F-51's leave ANG service about 1957 or so?? I think that F-51 Mustangs and F-80 Shooting Stars both left ANG service within a year of each other.

:)

On January 29th, I'll celebrate the 29th anniversary of my reaching legal drinking age. You do the math. . . :partyman:

My wife's doctor said that "50 is the new 30." I'll have to try that. . .

Cheers!

Actress Zsa Zsa Gabor, when asked her age claimed to be 39. Then it was pointed out that she had a daughter that was 39. Zsa Zsa, said "Yes darlink, and next year she will be 40 and I will still be 39."

Never forget: getting older is compulsory - growing up is optional.

I never bothered.

At least I’m in the majority. But I’ve been an enthusiast since I was 5.

Double nickel in a few weeks. I was actually glad to reach the big five-oh since I feel like I can get away with complaining about aches and pains. My grandson is four but is learning to tell different aircraft apart. He's a bit fuzzy yet on the concept of ' museum.' They're all "Grampa's friends' airplanes."
Glad to have a good representation of young guns here. Carry On!
