Looks like the 'Carrie' is one color and the 'B' is another. 'Carrie' could be RED

....for a living...if I lived in a cardboard box outside a soup kitchen perhaps!

If I could get it to just pay for ink, media and a touch more I would be doing good! I'm an architectural rendering artist (so it's been a bit slow) aircraft is more of a hobby I've been trying to push more into actually paying for itself and some pocket change........not a great economy as of late!

Glad to be of help.

The 401st, and the 613th in particular, seemed to have the habit of putting the names on the starboard side of the aircraft nose, which apparently makes them "unofficial" as far as the Air Force is concerned.

Although if RAMC181 is correct..and all the nose are I have seen on this group is the starboard side! I have it on the WRONG side of the AC! Hmmmmm, not quite as simple as flipping it...different cheek gun, waist gun position, Flip around the markings.....

Don't forget that the Norden will look different from the other side, too. You sure you have the rivet count correct?

Nice colour photo of 44-8258 IY-A, showing the style of fin markings.
The serial number 44-8258 is painted as 48258, as per the usual wartime pattern.
