Chino 2009 Pics Anybody???

Yes

I don't know about the Thai one but the Chrome Cat had a hydraulic issue that required an emerg gear extension. Just what a birdie told me.

Among Chris's pictures on the previous page is one of a Mustang wing undergoing rebuild. I don't know for certain but I imagine this could very well be "Twilight Tear".

Among Chris's pictures on the previous page is one of a Mustang wing undergoing rebuild. I don't know for certain but I imagine this could very well be "Twilight Tear".

I believe that one is Friedkins A-36 wing.
You can see the rectangular openings where the dive flaps rest.

If everyone promises NOT to tell anyone at Chino that I hauled a** in and out of the restoration shop I'll post this pic

. I'm surprised it's not blurred since I didn't want to get caught. Sorry guys if I shouldn't have done this. The mechanic side of me would rather see stuff like this than the airshow. Sick obsession I guess.

He, he! Sounds like Clay Lacy's...er....physiology presents new challenges to Tigercat ground crews. Truly, I mean this in good humor, but maybe the "ladder operation technician" should be called the "pilot rescue technician" in Clay's case, ha!. :lol:

ZRX61, I am directing this question to you since you apparently have some significant insight. Do you know what the mechanical issue was with Rod Lewis' Thai Bearcat on Sunday of the airshow? I heard on the radio that the aircraft had to be towed back to the ramp after landing runout, but I wasn't able to listen to the whole conversation. I know Rod's other Bearcat (flown by Jim Beasley) had a hydraulic system problem on Sunday and that the problem was resolved satisfactorily. A link to my recording of some of the Jim Beasley (Horsemen Lead)/Jim Dale (Air Boss) radio transmissions taken during the resolution of the problem is presented below. ZRX61, do you have any info on the Thai Bearcat? Anybody else have some input? Thanks!

I was thinking of the hydraulic prob with the other cat. :oops:

Thai bearcats tailwheel wouldn"t unlock. Mechanic fixed it at the end of the runway and it taxied back to the line. Great show!
