Actually, how many combat aircraft are there out there flying in their "original" wartime (or at least historically accurate for some point in their lives) markings?

Upupa Epops springs to mind. Glacier Girl, sort of (never saw combat, never had a name, let alone one painted on the nose). That Pearl Harbor survivor Grumman Duck too ...

Hi Garth. Don't know about the US, but in the UK , there are several aircraft in their original markings. If you check the link provided, a rundown is given of airworthy warbirds and OM stands for original markings.

I don't care what they want to call it or what they want to paint on it. I am just glad it is flying and able to have semantic fights fought over it!
