SU-27????? :D Rockford isn't that far from OSH. :D

Not much luck with that. Heard wings are off, being crated up and shipped to Ohio courtesy of the US govt probably never to fly again. :?
The email I got from Pride said that yes the Flankers have been sold! Didn't say who bought them. I'll keep buying my lotto tickets and if I ever win maybe they'll import another pair for me! :D

Why would the new owner ground these aircraft, unless the new owner is the U.S. Government and they don't want them to fly?

Anyone have details?

I've got some good news to report, but I have to wait until the official announcement goes out before I can share it here. Hopefully first thing in the morning! Stay tuned...

Looks like plans for the mass DC-3/C-47 arrival have changed. EAA has announced an unlimited number may join the mass flight up, with 50+ of the type already registered to attend. KOSH is big, but I'm beginning to wonder where they plan to park maybe 60, maybe 70, along with everyone else. Unreal.

Is this reference to the PBY in Duluth?

Cool. You're forgiven. Now go over to that apartment complex and straighten out that "flag flap" that's in the news! :)

Yeah, what a load of crap! That apartment complex should be boycotted. It should be a law that the American flag can be flown anywhere, as long as it is properly displayed. It should be excluded from blanket policies banning flags and other "decorations."

Has POF taken any aircraft to AirVenture in recent years? I remember seeing Steve with GG, but I don't recall ever seeing anything from POF
Museum's P-38 "Joltin' Josie."

How about this psuedo warbird (since it isn't in military service as of yet):

Airbus To Display, Fly A400M At Berlin Air Show In June
Dow Jones 05/26/2010
Author: A.H. Mooradian

PARIS (Dow Jones)--European aeronautic giant Airbus said Wednesday it will display and fly its A400M airlifter at the June 8-13 Berlin Air Show in the first public showing of the new aircraft.

"The airlifter, which is capable of performing tactical, strategic and tanker missions, will be on static and flying display during the first two days of the air show," Airbus said in a statement.

The A400M program has suffered long delays and was saved earlier this year when the seven governments making the program's inaugural orders agreed to stump up EUR3.5 billion of concessions to keep the project going.

Airbus is the plane-making arm of European Aeronautic Defense & Space Co. NV (EAD.FR).

If it can make Berlin it can make Oshkosh, right?

And again as "23 Skidoo" in 2006.
