Raf Avro Lincoln bomber in Watson Lake

Peter.....you got me curious.....

Do you have details you could share?????

I stopped in Watson Lake in June 1992 while ferrying a Waco UPF-7 from Alaska to St. Louis. I was told that the Lincoln was fueled up with jet fuel and all four engines stopped right after take-off, with the lake the only landing option. They told me that you could still see some of the aircraft, but I walked part way around the lake and didn't see anything. They also said that there was a Waco in the bottom of the lake, a cabin type I think.
