Sorry it has taken awhile to get back with you, but A Photobucket picture is worth a half thousand words AT LEAST!
First off you find a friend with a five or ten tonne press, depending on the size of the panel to be fabricated. Then take a piece of soft (er) aluminum and align it with your fixture in the pic. Then you smoosh the Holy Bejeepers out of it. Half measures will not get it done!
Then off to the heat -treaters, harden to taste and there you have it! :D

SPOOKYTHECAT- Here I am preparing to put a Wing extension on in anticipation of Oshkosh!

We hope to install at least one wing extension this Saturday.

Love the taxi video!!! Brought me to tears! It has been way, way too long.
I can't help thinking what the Guppie Crew thought as they taxied by the "clipped wing" B-17...

OK...Since today is technically Friday... Since I have the 3rd off for the fourth...

Here is the left wing resting comfortably on TEXAS RAIDERS.

That is Stan the T28 Driver standing on the Extension gesticulating.

David is back from Italy and we have a crew working on control cables SOOOO things are looking good.

The right wing is structurally ready to hang. It has a rivet or two to be replaced and a bunch of spot painting to be done, but maybe on the 11th we will have everything but the wing tips and the tail turret hanging on the aeroplane.

No matter what the job is or what you may need to complete said job, Tom can reach in and find exactly what yo need to get it done. I've NEVER seen him fail ! A rare individual, Don lucky he's back to help. No one knows Raiders better.

Make no mistake about it... Tom is Da Bomb!
More people have pictures of him than even KNOW it.
At Wings Over Houston 2007 when Glacier Girl lost an oil cooler Tom's legs were sticking out of the boom repairing it while a million passers by were shooting pictures. OK... so it wasn't as popular as the Farrah Fawcett poster (God Bless her soul!) but regardless... He was there!

Already mentioned Stan Turner, Randy Wahlberg and Geo. Hueni, but here is Bud Bearce Supplying wisdom of the ages... or is that THE AGED?
