I really like Ed Harris, myself. But isn't he pretty tall?

Also, didn't Doolittle get in a lot of trouble at some point in his career?

Ryan, I never noticed you live in Clovis until today. Looking for arrowheads?

For someone to portray the Gen as an older man, how about bandleader Paul Schafer?

Top 10 reasons why Paul Shaffer wouldn't make the Doolittle short list:

10 Tom Hanks
9 Ralph Fiennes
8 Matt Damon (in 15 years)
7 Ewan McGregor (in 10 years)
6 Bruce Willis
5 Stanley Tucci
4 Donnie Wahlberg
3 Daniel Craig
2 Michael Chiklis
1 Ed Harris

I just noticed the name "Phil" being thrown around...then it came to me...h*ll, why not have DOCTOR PHIL play the part? I think this thread is a tremendous waste of space, and I'll never get back the two minutes I spent typing my response.

I've been away on vacation and not near a computer for the last week.
When we first touched on this question back in arly April, my choice would've been, and still is (if they ever do a Doolittle Bio),

Stanley Tucci.

I can see Ed Harris maybe, but Stanley would be able to do it justice.
