Zack (and all other cheeseheads from the Fox Valley),

I'll be coming from the west (and have got all my favorite shortcuts pegged already), but
perhaps it's a good time for a local traffic report...like just exactly how bad is construction on Hwy 41?

Don't forget to list where Smokey likes to hang out as well. It's time to help our fellow WIX pilgrims on their journey to Mecca.

Ol'927 is no longer on the attractions list. Can anyone confirm if it's still coming or not?

All right, WIXers: It's photo request time.

Between the lot of us that will have at least some form of camera at OSH over the next couple of weeks, what images can we capture for the likes of you that are not able to attend?

OSH is simply too big for one photog to "do it all", but between the lot of us perhaps we can attempt to slake your thirst for imagery. So what say ye?

Did anyone notice that in the Ford Theater the "Dam Busters" movie is going to be previewed as a "Short" - ya'll will have to let those of us who cannot make it how it goes!

Also, I would not have bid on the previous cars, but HOLY COW, I wish I had the cash to bd on this years one off "Blue Angel" Ford Mustang!!

as far as a request, any photos will be appreciated!

If anyone can get them - I need some close ups shots of the Blue Angel Bearcat markings so I can make decals for a 1/32 model such as name on nose, pilot name under canopy, markings on vertical stab and anything under horizontal...
Thanks, Mike

I'm really hoping to be there, but just in case I don't make it, lots of pictures and video of the Race 74 Super Corsair would be greatly appreciated. I don't know if it's just going to be on static display or if it will be flying on any particular day. Anyone know? I read in one of the other threads that it flew for the first time since 1949 on Monday.

I'm planning to drive to Oshkosh on Thursday and spend Friday and Saturday there. I'm also interested in any other Corsairs that will be there.

According to the AirVenture Facebook page, a P-40, a Spitfire and a FW-190 landed earlier today. Mr. Frasca or Mr. Yeagan's birds coming in as a group maybe?.
Do we have any boots on the grounds yet?
On a side note, the aerobatic routine in the tri-motor I posted earlier in this thread won't happen because neither of Mr Herricks Fords are going to make it to AirVenture this year.
His Stinson Tri Motor will be there.

Bryan, there is some video footage and some photos on the EAA Airventure Facebook page that confirms that the three are the Frasca examples. I hope they'll still be there by the time I get my boots in Oshkosh! ; )

Don't forget your ATC audio fix for the week:

Looks like feeds are still getting hooked up.

Anyone know if the EAA has any live webcams from Airventure this year? Two years ago they had a couple free ones, and last year they were for EAA members only (but they would work each morning without a password, hehe). Just hoping someone might know or have access to them. I've got to do something to pass the time at work this week... :D
