Hopefully the Mosquito will be able to depart for Hamilton this morning
Anyone have a status report from Virginia Beach ?
Planning on arriving in the Finch very early (0700) Friday a.m. so that I can go to the
Mosquito Memories Presentation
Once that is done , start getting her ready for the show.
Should be a bit of a cold flight that time of day but thats ok .
Sunrise flights are awesome

I can't wait to see all the amazing planes that will be at the Hamilton Air Show!
My Dad and I are coming out from Vancouver to see the show. We're both very excited!
I understand that there may be a WIX'ers meet up or two. Who else is going to be there?
Peace,
David M

They're already doing photo ops. On the museum's FB page they have a pic of the Mossie with the Lancaster in trail.

Will you and your plane be on the ramp early Sat. morning? I'll be there bright and early with my camera as part of the early bird photo pass thing. I flew (as a passenger) in the Vintage Wings Fleet Finch last Nov. 11 as part of the Remembrance Day activities/flybys done by them. Would love to see your plane up close.

Apologies for the quality of the image... should have brought the Nikon and left the iPhone in my pocket. At around 5:30 on Friday this formation, representing 10 Merlin engines, flew over the CWH. Impressive to see and hear. I think the last time anything even approaching this occurred was at the Hamilton Airshow in 1993(?) but that formation was less one Spitfire and Hurricane. The B-25 was also up and I suspect it had a skilled photographer on board

Okay, this should be a rule on this website.
Never, I mean never apologize, when you post a photo representing ten Merlin engines in formation, regardless of quality!
I plan on attending tomorrow and look forward to hearing that song!
Thanks for posting!
