Tsgt USAF 1975-1983. Like Bill Greenwood said... I was in at the end of Viet Nam officially, but since I didn't go west of Wichita Falls, I don't consider myself a vet.
I am not a vet myself but my father was. He spent twenty years in the Navy and has over 100 launches and recoveries aboard carrier as plane captian/flight engineer sitting bass ackward in an A-3 Skywarrior with no ejection seats. He never served in a combat theater (though he was in a EP-3 chased by a North Korean MiG) but you can't tell me he didn't put his life on the line for his country.
If you served, in whatever capacity, you should be proud. I know I am proud of all of you.
