I can't remember if I posted about the Georgia Locator before, but a brief WIX search did not reveal a thread, so here it is...

I do have one question... Is there a "Georgia State Military Academy" or "National Guard Academy" off of highway 16 south near Sparta? I have a source which indicates there is a H-54 and OV-1 there. I have not been able to find the place. If it is there is it accessible to the public?

Do you want to find locations of displayed, stored or active aircraft? Then start with the The Locator.
Do you want to find or contribute to the documented history of an aircraft? If so then start with the Airframes Database.

Didn't see Douglas, Georgia listed. Home to Don Brooks and his collection of aircraft: (2) B-17's, P-40E, SNJ Texan & C-47.

Tom Reilly keeps his B-25 (Killer Bee) there.

OK I added it. Does the place have a name, or is there simply no sign on the door.

Mike,

Haven't been able to locate any info pertaining to a "Georgia State Military Academy" or a "National Guard Academy" in Sparta. I've scanned the town of Sparta and along Hwy 16 near Sparta on Google Maps, and haven't seen anything.

Mike,
The location for the Military Institute is Macon. OV-1D 62-5875 is preserved outside. The Institute is at at 1030 Shurling Drive, aka Highway 49N, half a mile east of the junction with Route 129.
The CH-54A that was there, 68-18441, went to Yuba City CA for Siller Brothers.

When the "Flying Tigers Warbirds Restoration Museum" closed in Kissimmee, FL, was it actually a relocation to Douglas, GA? That is what this website seems to indicate...
http://www.warbirdmuseum.com

Is Reilly operating in Douglas as the Flying Tigers Warbird Restoration Museum?
