O.K. all here goes one I never thought I'd do. I found photos of these crazy X shaped chocks that have a reenforcing cross bar at the bottom. I am trying to see if anyone has really seen these in person or has reference to them. I am a ground crew living historian for the EAA and also a real life aircraft mechanic and I set up WW2 ground crew displays here in Arizona and these would surely be an eye catcher if I could reproduce a set. Thanks.

Scott

i'd bet that most people on this site wouldn't even notice something so miniscule as to the detail in question when compared to looking at a big beautiful warbird, whether in a ww2 pic or at an air show !!! hope somebody can help you!! hopefully 1 of the wixers with an extensive photo library can dig up your answer.
