I hope all of you made it through the great WIX blackout. I know it was traumatic for some, infuriating for others, but we're back and hopefully those occasionally 5 minute server crashes will be history.

The story as I know it. Apparently on Sunday at 6am, the tech monkeys at the hosting company were upgrading the MySql servers (the basic engine that drives this site) and managed to FUBAR it to the point where it to 29 HOURS to get it all back in working order. I am trying to have these tech monkeys shot but so far the legal department says that is too good of an idea. Hopefully this is the end of it and we will continue to be up and running for a good long time.

Sorry for any DT's you suffered when we were down

Thank goodness it wasn't WIX's fault!

I thought the blackout was caused by all us WIX'ers trying to break the "on-line" record!!!!!

I was a basket case all day yesterday lying on the floor in the fetal position, sucking my thumb, and trying to think of "happy thoughts" until it was up and running again!

Office Efficiency Soars!
By Meg Apixel
Associated Pull Writer

NEW YORK - A study done by the law firm of Dewy, Cheatum and Howe
has found that efficiency has reached a new high this morning in many
offices that have internet access for it's employees. "We don't know,
why said one senior management employee, who asked not to be
named, but it just looks like our employees are searching for something more."

The Great Wix Whiteout has been whispered by some as the reason.
No evidence of what this means could be uncovered by press time.

Wow. and here I thought I was able to break my home network, Yankee's network, and WIX each in their own distinct ways all in a 48 hour period. I guess two outta three aint bad.

I don't think I should touch anything more complicated than a light switch for the next week or so...... :(

I tried to get on a little after 10:00 yesterday morning, and thought the record attempt had killed the site.

Having a good laugh over the comments here for sure.
Scott o nbehalf of all fellow wixers I say a big Thanks You for the perserverence over this technical problem(s) that you have had recently.
It did seem strange though posting on the "other" forum that Wix was down instead of the other way round for a change.

Same here... I kind of thought it was funny at first--I thought it would be down for only a little bit.... I soon failed to see the humor in it! :?
