I have known Berly for perhaps 15 years, as he has lived in Aspen. He was a very nice guy, friendly and polite. There was a story about his history and his passing in the paper today.

Bill. its looking like more snow for you all again. We tried to get our mid-size diesel clunker into Santa Fe today. We'll try again tomorrow. Do you have any pictures of your Spit in the snow banks??

TIA,

Lynn

I spent a lovely evening with Beryl a few years back... he was indeed a wonderful fellow. An amazing sense of recall too... he could go through the entire start-up procedure for the B-36 purely from memory. From what I remember, he was the first to fly the B-36, YB-60 and the B-58... truly one of the finest airmen from all accounts as well. A very sad loss.
