I'm new to this WIX site and I wanted to show some pix of a trip to Davis-Monthan AMARC (Aerospace Maintenance and Regeneration Center).this is aplane I have not seen before.<a href="http://photobucket.com/" target="_blank"><img src="http://i122.photobucket.com/albums/o280/planeoldsteve/DM%2012%2006/IMG_0043.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting"></a>I think it's an EA6A? It has two seats and ECM on the tail.

Looks like 4 seats, EA-6 Prowler to me; but I'm no expert!

Ya know...I think you're right! Looks the tail. I dont believe the Intruder had the lil pod thing on top of the tail. I was looking mainly at the cockpit area.

edit: The EA-6B's tail fin pod houses sensitive surveillance receivers, capable of detecting hostile radar emissions at long range. Emitter information is processed by the central mission computer. Detection, identification, direction-finding, and jammer-set-on-sequence may be performed automatically or by the crew.

I think it looks like a EA-6A. The nose looks wrong for an EA-6B, the canopy also looks to short for a 4 seat EA-6B.

Is the Buno # 1485X5?

The EA-6B Forward canopy ends before the intakes, The above a/c this is not the case. With the tail looking like it does I’d bet on it being an EA-6A. I’d love to see that saved and put into a museum.

What gets me is the canopy. If you look closely you can follow the canopy line. Its got more of an arch to it than the EA6B..The 6B is more flat..Comparing photos... Could it be an A-6 with the pod tail???

I don't think it is...the Prowler has a different profile than the Intruder. the slope from the front windshield aft is much more gradual.
