Here is a link for a news story that was on in Seattle a few weeks back about my good friends Bud and Ross Granley. Without a doubt two of the best airshow performers and warbird pilots around.

I hear Bud does a mean T-6 act including a loop to landing. Anyone have a video of that maneuver?

Nicely done tribute to those two. It's rare to have a news story not screw it all up.

BDK, Brad sent me a great video of Bud's T-6 act and it'll blow you away! Some things kind of make me cringe, like the snap roll on take off and the tailslide, but there is no doubt in my mind that it's the best T-6 act I've ever seen. And, like you, I've seen a LOT of T-6 acts. Maybe if you're nice, Brad will send you a copy.

Actually, they fly two Fouga jets. I thought they were the most awful jet ever built until I went flying with Bud in one of them. They are way more fun than the L-39!

Bud and Ross are two amazing pilots and I love living in Southern British Columbia because I get to see them perform at just about all of the airshows in the Vancouver Area and Northern Washington.

If you really want to see Bud's eyes light up you can ask him about his kids or airplanes. If you say Bud, "I just bought a (fill in the blank with anything fun), especially if it is rare, high performance, or historic; would you like to fly it? He'll be like a cop in a donut shop.

Yeah,

Bud seems like that (itching to fly anything). I remember several airshows in the past where the airshow announcers warned everyone to lock thier planes and hold onto their keys or else you might see Bud flying away in your ______ (Fill in the blank).

The great thing about him though, is if you need someone to do a first flight after a restoration, he'd probably be a good candidate to take it up.

Another great thing about him is he's a great person, not just a great pilot. He is a very nice guy, and almost always has time to chat at an airshow.

You've abviously never flown a Fouga! :D They are amazing. Easy to handle. Very gracious in aerobatics,... Best fun I've had with my pants on!

So Randy, will you be trading your F-15E for those overpowerd gliders/underpowered jets?

  8)

Thought these images were pretty cool, Bud leading the Snowbirds in my favorite Spit @ Abbotsford 2000 ( could be the last public display of MK923 before she was grounded )
