Hi all,

I'm wondering is someone out there might know of a resource on the net that lists USAF losses during the Korean War. My father fought with the Royal Canadian Regiment in Korea during 1951-52. During his time there he witnessed an ejection from a P-80 (pilot was recovered safely) and a F-51 which was shot down by ground fire and crashed into a resevoir killing the pilot.

I am trying to put a date to the events and hopefully determine the name of the American killed in the F-51 crash.

Those weren't his only encounters with aircraft, but I'll save those for another time. any help would be appreciated.

Most likely 18th FBW by the date range you give.
Here's details on EVERY US aircraft lost during the Korean War!

I must admit that I never knew Korean War losses were so heavy.

It was a freaking bloodbath.
My cousin PFC John Clark USMC died at the Chiosen Reservoir.

No doubt about it, the only reason it gets overlooked is because it followed the Second World War, but if it were happening today the whole world would take notice.
