Warbird Information Exchange

I'd like to share some of my reflections about the WIX website and community for the year 2006. It goes without saying this is the favorite place on the web for many of us. But in the last year I think it has really grown in content quality and breadth of participation. The fantastic Diamond Lil thread by Gary Austin and Jack Cook's photo sharing have already been highlighted in other threads as outstanding contributions. But there are ever increasing contributions from a myriad of extremely knowledgable experts. I sense increasing participation from prominent members of the warbird community that makes the site even more "must see". There seems to be considerably less rancor among the ranks and a lot more fellowship. I believe the site has aided the warbird movement by fostering communication and co-operation among various organizations in an informal but effective way.

Therefore, I'd like to offer an end of year toast to Scott for realizing his dream of a site where amateurs and experts can share their love of warbirds

I couldn't have said it better myself. Scott, you have done a yoeman's job with this site. That is why I keep coming back for more .

Jack Cook...your photo uploads are priceless history and I am honored that you have chosen to share them with us here.

And finally Gary Austin..........what can you say about a man who dedicates so much of his time and effort to not only do what he does for the CAF, but also lets those of us who are not close enough to participate a glimpse into one of the most informative, intricate, and entertaining posts in the Warbird Arena in years.

I wish ALL who read this board, and especially the gentlemen I have singled out here, the absolute BEST that 2007 has to offer, but all of us here the best that life has to offer. I do not mean to slight anyone here by not naming them directly, but it is an honor for me to participate with some VERY fine people.

I wish to add my thanks to Scott and all of you on WIX for making it the best site on my favorites list. I have said it before but, I learn something new everytime I come on to the site!
