Although it burned in flight test I think it is the most beautiful airplane ever built. Well number 2 to a Staggerwing anyway.

Ive read that the first one had a engine fire, but made it down. And the second one was never completed. But they mentioned that if you look at it head on it resembles the SR71. (COOL)

the xp67 was cutting edge stuff, way before it's time in many aspects, physically gorgeous, & pre medieval stealthy before we even new the science. as to engine tech stuff, no clue...... but hi tech & way advanced for it's time. the project was so advanced, that's what killed it.

This about sums it up! :lol:

Just because it looks good doesn't necessarily mean it will fly well.
