I read somewhere that depth charges were used against the Japanese in Burma to penetrate their network of tunnels and caves. I think it was with the 33rd but can't remember where I read that fact. Dad flew with the 60th FS of the 33rd Fighting Nomads but I don't find the reference in any of his stuff.
The jist of the info was about Tokyo Rose laughing at our ground support because they could not soften the dug in forces. Then when the depth charges were used adn they killed hundreds at a time, we became heartless dogs.
I throw it to the WIX brain! Thanks,
