I don't see anything weird either. Can you be more specific?

Yeah, that nose is blunt. Looks like a mock-up...

This is the same DRMO yard that is near my house.

I took this picture of a F-4 in that yard a little while back

I've seen atleast 2 other F-16s in that yard at various other times. The ones I saw were from the 178FW Springfield OH, ANG. Someone bought a rather intact Viper 3 months ago out of there as I saw it being trailored south out of Dayton.

I may need to swing by and take a look.

I think the poster is implying it doesn't appear to be an actual plane, but maybe a test frame for the intake and surrounding area. Look at the intake part laying on its side, there is really no appearance to the rest of the plane other than the intake and outer plane shape. The front well doesn't look like the wheel well does it? And what is that above the intake around the splinter plate, putty?

Bill.

It's all parts from a Block 10/15. Saw parts of a external fuel tank. All out of date and totally unusable,(except for scrap)!

I was thinking that the guys who ended up with the early block Viper that was for sale by Air Capitol Warbirds could probably use some of that stuff...
