That's not assembly ship. It's a 11th AF Liberater based in Alaska.

That is so ugly that it is wonderful. If I had a big bomber I think I'd paint it like that. Jack, you of many great photos, I have never seen a Spifire with real nose art, have you?

If you guys want to see some original nose art first hand, go to the CAF's Save the Girls Museum in Midland, TX. I cannot tell you how impressed I was when I first went there. They have 34 original panels all restored or being restored for preservation. Most of you "southerners" have probably seen the exhibit at AIRSHO, but if you haven't I highly recommend the trip!!http://www.savethegirls.org/index.html
